The “Author of the Year” events organized by the Nilüfer Municipality every year in memory of a writer are being dedicated to Rıfat Ilgaz, one of the master writers of Turkish literature, this year.
A short story competition is also being organized as part of the event for the 2025 Writer of the Year Rıfat Ilgaz Story Award. Applications for the competition, which will contribute to the discovery of new talents, will begin on June 16, 2025. The last application date is August 29, 2025.
