Applications are now open for Young Jazz+, the traditional section of the 31st Istanbul Jazz Festival, which will be organized by İKSV with the sponsorship of Garanti BBVA between July 3-18.
Celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, Young Jazz+ provides a platform for young musicians and ensembles under the age of 28 who are interested in amateur or semi-professional music in Turkey to take part in the festival program. The musicians and ensembles that will be selected after the applications will have the opportunity to share the same stage with international artists at the free Jazz in the Parks events held in parks in different districts of the city as part of the 31st Istanbul Jazz Festival and will be entitled to be included in the Genç Caz+ 24 album.

Who can apply?
Musicians and ensembles under the age of 28 who have not released a professional album can apply to Young Jazz+.
Demos in different genres such as jazz, funk, R&B, neo-soul, electronic music, hip-hop, cross-genre music that includes improvisation and similar styles are eligible for auditions.
Musicians can apply with a repertoire of their own original works as well as interpretations of other pieces. In order to be included in the album to be released, it will be especially preferred for artists to participate with their own original works (lyrics and music).
Based on the applications, the names that will take part in the evaluation concert will be announced on the festival website on Monday, April 29th.
The musicians and ensembles that will take part in the festival will be announced after the evaluation concert on May 5.
The festival team also asks the candidates who are thinking of participating in the Young Jazz+ auditions to send a short e-mail to the e-mail address specified on the Genç Caz+ website stating that they are thinking of applying to Genç Caz+ in order to communicate about the application process.
