Within the scope of WOW International Women’s Festival Istanbul, İKSV Alt Kat is organizing workshops that will contribute to the empowerment of girls and women through art. Led by Başak Doğan, Founding Conductor and General Artistic Director of Chromas and Vocal Academy, “Young Women’s Voices: Polyphonic Choir Workshop” will bring together 30 talented participants between the ages of 18-23. The workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to develop their musical skills while contributing to their social awareness through art.
In the seven workshops to be held at İKSV Alt Kat between February 6-29, 2024, participants will learn the Vocal Painting improvisation method as well as a polyphonic repertoire. In these workshops, a musical experience enriched with polyphonic singing, using the voice as an instrument, vocal techniques, collective work and Vocal Painting will be created.
Participants will perform the repertoire they experienced in the workshop at the WOW World Women’s Festival Istanbul on March 3, 2024 at Beykoz Kundura Stage.
